The Irish Association of Neurodevelopmental Therapists (Reflex Integration)
The Irish Association of Neurodevelopmental Therapists was set up in October 2005 and is a network of independent therapists currently working in Ireland. All the members are experienced professionals with a background in education, psychology, nursing or a paramedical science and have studied neurodevelopmental therapy at a postgraduate level.
|
The therapists participate in continued professional development together and share best practice with each other. All therapists are independent practitioners. The Association does not oversee, regulate or supervise the individual therapists listed or the therapies they provide. |
This website will give you information about the therapy, how it can help with Developmental Delay and also allow you get in touch with a therapist in your own area. If you would like more information, feel free to contact any of the therapists who will be happy to answer any of your questions and explain their approach.
A small sample of the feedback and testimonials our therapists have received from their clients
"When we started NDT my 11 year old daughter was finding many aspects of life a little difficult. Maths were a problem. She wasn't a great reader, she found it hard to sit and focus. She whined quite a lot and was lethargic. School projects were a challenge. A friend recommended NDT. When we started, the exercises were a little odd but we persisted. A year later at 12, she is a transformed girl. Much more confident, at ease with herself, projects in school are a breeze. She has started athletics and life-saving and tore through all the Harry Potter book series. Maths will always be something she has to work at to understand but she is ready for secondary school!"
"Thanks you for making our Daughter's school life so much easier and so much more enjoyable" - Niamh
"Axxx is doing great. Thank you for helping me and him through what was a difficult time ... he is back in full health, happy, confident and enjoying life ... he's relaxed and school is no longer a major deal ... he is focused and he is not as intense and he was" - Mary F
"His teacher discussed with us the possibility that our son would have to repeat the year if things continued the way they were as he was falling so badly behind in class ... when we went for his assessment ... it seemed such a long way before we would see results. But the improvements began within months of the test and a year later at the next parent teacher meeting, there was a great improvement and his reading had really improved" - S & J, County Meath
